Wesley Phillips

Wesley Phillips is an Alabama native, born and raised in Gardendale, Alabama, a suburb of Birmingham.  He spent seven years working in law enforcement split between the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and the Mountain Brook Police Department.  Wesley attained his undergraduate degree in Finance from the University of Alabama and worked briefly as a financial advisor prior to attending law school.

After graduating from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in Birmingham, Wesley worked for an insurance defense law firm.   He later went to work for a plaintiff-side only law firm in Birmingham.  Several years later Wesley started his own practice representing people injured by others as well as those wronged by big national banks, financial institutions, debt collectors and credit reporting agencies, including class actions.

Wesley has 20 years of experience in trial work in both federal and state courts.  He argued a consumer case before the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals that resulted in a win against the credit reporting agencies for all consumers in the Eleventh Circuit, which includes Alabama, Georgia, and Florida.  Whether it was as a law enforcement officer or now as a trial attorney, Wesley works to protect the rights of Alabama citizens.

Wesley is the proud father of one daughter who is in college studying engineering.
