Davis Varner
G. Davis Varner, Jr. is a Gadsden, Alabama native and is well respected in the community. He attended college at Jacksonville State University where he received various academic honors, including graduating Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science.
After graduating from Jacksonville State University, Davis was admitted to the prestigious University of Alabama School of Law in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. While attending law school, Davis was active in multiple school and community organizations and was also a member of the law school’s Civil Law Clinic, where he assisted and represented low-income clients in both civil and criminal matters in Tuscaloosa Municipal Court and Tuscaloosa County Courts.
After earning his Juris Doctorate of Law, Davis worked as an attorney in private practice before joining The Shelnutt Law Firm. Over the years, Davis’ areas of practice have focused on Personal Injury, Motor Vehicle and Trucking Accidents, Wrongful Death, Family Law, Social Security Disability, and Criminal Defense. Davis also has substantial experience in the areas of Estate Planning, Business Contracts, and Business Litigation.
Outside of the office, Davis serves as a legal educator instructing LSAT preparation classes to aspiring lawyers who are preparing for admission to law school. Davis was also selected to serve as an international educator in Germany, where he annually teaches an American Government class to German students. Davis is heavily involved in the litigation area of the firm and has developed a reputation as an aggressive and hard-working attorney who won’t hesitate to fight for his clients.
